Call For Working Groups Membership 2015

EUROMED RIGHTS WORKING GROUPS

CALL FOR PARTICIPATION 2015

Dear Members,

EuroMed Rights Working Groups play a key role in facilitating networking among our members, ensuring that the Network addresses the most pertinent issues in the Euro-Med region as well as providing expert knowledge and input.

It is now time to launch a call for participation in EuroMed Rights Working Groups. We hope you will see this renewal as a positive opportunity for your organisation to continue your active engagement in our Working Groups or to state your interest in being member of the the Working Groups.

The Working Groups concerned by this call are:

Work on economic, social and cultural rights as well as on anti-discrimination will be initiated during the coming years, and Working Groups will be established when funding is secured. You will be kept informed of any developments in this regards.

This letter deals with the procedures for applying for membership to the WGs as well as outlines the background documents and the documents to be provided by the applicants. Kindly note that all documents pertaining to the call for participation are available on this page.

We kindly ask you to carefully read all documents and fill in the application forms according to the requirements. Please provide as much information and details as possible. Only in this way, can we evaluate the applications according to the criteria and ensure a good composition of the working groups.

Kindly note that, for practical and financial reasons, each working group will only work in maximum two of the EuroMed Rights working languages, i.e. English, Arabic and French. Selection of the languages of each Working Group will be done on the basis of the applications – we thus encourage candidates with knowledge of several of the working languages to apply.

How to apply:

The application documents are to be downloaded from this page and can be filled in in any of the EuroMed Rights working languages. Filled in applications should be sent to Marit Flo Jorgensen at: [email protected] .

When to apply:

The Deadline for sending your application is Thursday 1 October 2015 (1.10.2015).

Who can apply?

EuroMed Rights regular and associate members can apply for membership of the Working Groups. There is no formal limitation to how many Working Groups any particular EuroMed Rights member organisation may be represented in, but priority will be given in the selection process to organisations that are not yet member of any Working Group. Priority will also be given to organisations that are most thorough in explaining how their organisation can benefit from participating in the WG.

Any particular person can only be member of one Working Group. Accordingly, if your organisation applies for membership in several Working Groups, a different representative must be appointed for each Working Group.

Selection of members to the Working Groups

Applications will be examined and a short-listing of members of the Working Groups will be done by a Selection Committee consisting of EuroMed Rights President, the Program Director as well as WG Program Officers. Based on criteria, the Selection Committee will pre-select members for each Working Group among the applicants. The short list will be presented to EuroMed Rights Executive Committee for final approval. Hereafter, the selected members will be informed and the list of members of each Working Group made public on EuroMed Rights website.
