In the current context marked by the increasing erosion of legal norms and civic space,  civil society organisations and human rights defenders are particularly targeted by intimidation and legal harassment. In response to this unprecedented threat against fundamental rights and fair trial principles in Turkey, EuroMed Rights, in collaboration with its local members and partners, is focusing its work on monitoring human rights national policies, trial monitoring and the rule of law, and on supporting members in strengthening their collaboration, networking and advocacy activities in the country, as well as at European and international levels. Regular meetings are held to coordinate trial monitoring and advocacy activity and to discuss trends in violations of fair trial principles and contingency measures.
