- On 12 May, 2 people left Laayoune trying to reach the Canaries. The weather was very bad and communication was difficult. Spanish authorities launched a SAR operation. The two people in distress were finally rescued by Salvamento Maritimo to Spain.
- On 23 May, 50 people left Dakhla and asked help to Caminando Fronteras after 20 hours adrift in the Atlantic.
- 17 people who left Tazaghin towards the Spanish coasts were rescued on 9 May, after 2 days at sea.
