On 12 May, 2 people left Laayoune trying to reach the Canaries. The weather was very bad and communication was difficult. Spanish authorities launched a SAR operation. The two people in distress were finally rescued by Salvamento Maritimo to Spain.
On 23 May, 50 people left Dakhla and asked help to Caminando Fronteras after 20 hours adrift in the Atlantic.
17 people who left Tazaghin towards the Spanish coasts were rescued on 9 May, after 2 days at sea.
