- On June 01 2024, 60 people were adrift south of Malta. They were rescued by a commercial ship that transported them to Lampedusa. 1 person died during the rescue.
- On May 20 2024, the Ocean Viking found 35 migrants of Bangladeshi origin near Malta who had left the city of Benghazi in Libya. The rescue team found them in a very deteriorated state of health before transporting them to an Italian port.
