Spain’s Secretary of State for Migration, Pilar Cancela Rodríguez, has praised Morocco’s Atlantic initiative launched by King Mohammed VI, calling it a model of shared development and African solidarity, Morocco World News reported on 8 November 2025. She stated that the initiative would strengthen economic ties and improve resilience and prosperity for African communities, calling Morocco an ‘ideal partner for Spain and the EU in managing migration flows’.
