On Thursday 4 May 2023, a sit-in of families of people who disappeared while trying to reach Europe by sea took place in Rabat, in front of the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The relatives of the ‘disappeared’ asked the authorities to help them to find and repatriate these people. The disappeared are mainly Moroccans but also migrants from Sudan, Syria and sub-Saharan Africa.
