On March 18, 2024, according to information reported by the Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung, Morocco and the EU are preparing a migration pact for the end of 2024. The agreement would be similar to those already signed with Turkey, Egypt and Tunisia. As a reminder, Morocco has been fully involved in the outsourcing of migration management on behalf of the EU for the past ten years.
