In view of the EU-Israel Informal Human Rights Working Group meeting on 15 January 2013, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Network (EMHRN) would like to draw your attention to several human rights violations committed inside Israel.
The EMHRN calls on the European Union (EU) to address the below-mentioned violations related to the rights of the Palestinian Arab minority; the rights of Palestinian prisoners and detainees in Israeli prisons; the rights of refugees and asylum seekers; and the question of rule of law and access to justice (for further information on those violations see ANNEX I).
Moreover, the EMHRN calls on the EU to ensure prompt action by the Israeli government to respect its obligations under international human rights law (IHRL).
