This page showcases resources and publications developed by subgrantees of the Majalat II project, highlighting essential contributions from civil society organizations (CSOs) across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). These works address key project themes, including: 

• Good Governance, Rule of Law, and Human Rights 
• Climate Change and Social Justice 
• Judicial Independence and Transparency 

Majalat II’s subgranting programme, launched in early 2024, provides financial support to CSOs from eight different MENA countries. Following a competitive selection process, over ten subgrantees were chosen to implement local projects for up to one year (until summer 2025). Through this support, CSOs will produce research and policy-oriented publications, monitor policy, conduct advocacy missions, hold consultations and dialogue sessions at the local, national and regional level. While this funding is a good start, the financial needs of the region remain enormous. The challenges faced by MENA CSOs are considerable and more flexible, adequate and sustainable resources are needed to fully support their vital work.
