On June 19, Statista Research Department published figures concerning migration flows into and out of Belgium in 2022. In 2022, some 52,500 people migrated to Brussels, whereas around 16,000 migrated from Brussels.
On June 16, a demonstration was organised by the League of Undocumented Domestic Workers in front of the Palais de Justice in Brussels. They claimed to be entitled to proper work permits and working conditions and criticised the system’s hypocrisy for needing them but keeping them on the margins.
