On 8 September, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced that 3 Syrian brothers had been missing for 20 days after crossing the Syrian-Turkish border. The Observatory suspects that organs trafficking networks may be behind the disappearances.
On 1st September, Turkish authorities deported 147 Syrian refugees from a detention center in Gaziantep to northern Syria. Since the beginning of 2024, Turkey has been deporting 100 Syrians a day, using them as a political pawn to justify the Turkish presence in the region.
