• On May 11, 2024, France24 broadcast live images of the arrest of lawyer and TV commentator Sonia Dahmani. The latter had spoken of the repression suffered by the migrant community in Tunisia.
• On May 07, 2024, Saadia Mosbah, a black Tunisian activist against racism, was arrested by the police. Like her, other representatives and leaders of associations and activists for the defense of the rights of migrants and refugees have been arrested on charges as unfounded as “conspiracy to protect the security of the state” or “money laundering”.
• On May 03, 2024, while protesting in front of the UNHCR headquarters in Tunis, 500 black migrants, including families, were violently deported by the police to the Algerian and Libyan border.
