  • In April, the Moroccan Network of Migration Journalists, in cooperation with CCFD-Terre Solidaire, published a study on “The treatment of foreign immigration by the Moroccan media”. This study highlights the persistence of stereotypes and discriminatory discourses in the media treatment of migration. It shows that the topic is mainly approached in an informative manner and with a neutral tone, without any real consideration of the human rights dimension. The analysis also highlights the invisibilization of migrant women and vulnerable groups, as well as the predominance of official and state sources in the angles chosen by the media.
