On 29 September, the Lebanese Prime Minister announced that around 1 million people had been internally displaced in Lebanon, plunging the country into a massive displacement crisis.
On 26 September, the IOM announced a mass displacement in Lebanon with 211,319 internally displaced persons (IDPs), including some 74,000 children.
On 26 September, UNRWA released a report on its response to the emergency in Lebanon. On 24 September, the agency opened two shelters, and the next day opened one more as demand increased. Of those registered, 24 per cent are Palestinian, 29 per cent Syrian and 47 per cent Lebanese. 9 more shelters are ready to be open as demand increases.
