On 28 November, SOS Humanity carried out an unusual rescue of 47 people in distress. An overcrowded boat approached their vessel at high speed, carrying four masked men who forced the 47 passengers into the water before speeding away. According to the survivors, the masked men were members of Libyan Coast Guard.
On 26 November, the Ocean Viking rescued 48 people from an overloaded boat in Libyan waters. 90% of the survivors were unaccompanied minors. Toward the end of the rescue, the Libyan Coast Guard approached at high speed and made dangerous maneuvers. The authorities designated Ravenna as the safe place to disembark the rescued people, a four-day sail to get there.
On 25 November, Libyan soldiers announced that they were detaining more than 300 migrants who had crossed the desert to reach the shores of the Mediterranean.
On 20 November, a boat carrying migrants from Tripoli sank, claiming the lives of 25 Syrians, including minors. 4 people were rescued by a fisherman.
On 16 November, a boat carrying around 30 people was shipwrecked off the Libyan coast. Two people lost their lives.
On 15 November, a boat capsized off the coast of Libya. 17 people were rescued by the Libyan coastguard and 13 are still missing.
On 13 November, 33 migrants of various nationalities were rescued, and two bodies were recovered following a boat capsizing off the coast of Al-Khums.
On 12 November, one body was found after a shipwreck off the coast of Tajoura, Libya. Many others are missing, and the 21 survivors have been taken to the Immigration Detention Centre in Tripoli.
