On 16-17 November, 44 Moroccans swam from Morocco to the Spanish enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla. Among them, at least 35 are reported to be minors.
On 14 November two bodies found at the beginning of November off the coast of Lanzarote were identified. A 25-year-old Moroccan woman and a young Moroccan man were returned to their families. A third body remains unidentified, but the authorities are still hoping to find the family.
