- On 30 November the bodies of 4 migrants, believed to be Egyptians, were recovered and 8 others rescued after their boat capsized off the Libyan coast. The youngest victim was a 14-year-old Egyptian boy.
- On 24 November, 58 Egyptians were repatriated from the Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar immigration detention centre in Shahat Libya via the Emsaed land border crossing. There were 5 medical cases in the group.
- On 17 November, the Egyptian parliament has passed a new law to regulate asylum in the country, transferring the authority to grant asylum from the UNHCR to the government. The law establishes a committee chaired by the prime minister to oversee and decide on asylum applications. Human rights organizations are worried as the new law will place security over protection and open the door to legalizing detention and deportation practices against refugees.
