- On 27 November, it was announced that the Bulgarian Turkish border would be reinforced with the deployment of 100 new police officers drawn from the border police forces of neighboring Romania, Hungary and Austria. Bulgaria will also strengthen its surveillance equipment in this strategic EU entry zone.
