On 18 March 2024, Alarm Phone received an SOS from 33 people in distress near the island of Samos. The Turkish coast guard says it rescued them and then brought them back to Turkey.
On 17 March 2024, around 56 migrants were adrift east of the island of Lesvos. The Greek coastguard said it had rescued them.
