On 27 June, 2024, Ursula von der Leyen received the support of EU leaders, apart from Giorgia Meloni and Viktor Orbán, for a new term as President of the European Commission. Antonio Costa will be the new President of the Council of the EU and Kaja Kallas will become the new EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
