Nikos Christodoulides, President of the Republic of Cyprus, thanked the German government for welcoming refugees and migrants. Christodoulides appealed to other EU countries to do the same. He said that the Republic of Cyprus, with a population of just 1.2 million, is the country that has received the most migrants in its population.
