On 6 November, 2 bodies were found on a beach near Calais and another was found at sea. Two other bodies were found at sea the day before.
On 2 November, a body was discovered on a beach near Calais. The body has not yet been identified.
On 29 October, a 28-year-old man died, and another is in a critical condition after a boat carrying at least 80 people from Turkey, Iran and Iraq ran into trouble trying to cross the English Channel. Later that day, 3 bodies were found on a beach in Pas de Calais, bringing the number of death so far this year at 60.
On 27 October, a man from India, aged around 40, died while attempting to cross the English Channel. The other people on board managed to swim back to shore.
On 23 October, 3 people died and 50 others were rescued after their boat sank in the English Channel. This was the third fatal maritime accident in October.
