On June 13, the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) ruled in its judgment H.A. and others v. Greece, no. 4892/18 and 4920/18. The case concerned, inter alia, the living conditions of 67 third-country applicants staying in the Moria hotspot. The Court ruled that Greece violated Articles 3 and 13 of the European Convention on Human Rights by stating that living conditions in the hotspots were inhuman and degrading due to the overcrowding, the resulting difficulties of such overcrowding, and an acute lack of basic necessities, and that the applicants had no effective remedies
