On April 18, Access Center for Human Rights issued a statement condemning the recent mass forced deportations of Syrian refugees by the Lebanese authorities. According to the Center, in two separate incidents the Lebanese army conducted the mass deportation of 29 Syrian refugees in Haret Al-Sakher – Jounieh and 35 Syrian refugees in Wadi Khaled in Northern Lebanon.
The day after a meeting between the heads of diplomacy of Saudi Arabia and Syria on April 14, Lebanon welcomed a communiqué issued between the two countries mentioning their willingness to “ensure adequate conditions and work for the safe and decent repatriation of Syrian refugees”.
On April 14, a Palestinian refugee has been hurt after being targeted by a grenade and gunfire on Friday in the Palestinian refugee camp of Rashidiyeh (near Tyr).
