- The situation remains worrying in Assamaka in northern Niger, where 5,000 migrants expelled from Algeria have been living in very precarious conditions (lack of water, extreme heat) for several weeks waiting for a solution. The majority comes from West Africa, but some also come from Bangladesh and Syria.
