  • On 18 August 2025, the  Trade Union Confederation of Productive Forces (COSYFOP) released a follow-up report regarding critical human rights violations of migrants from Sub-Saharan Africa in Algeria since June 2025. The report highlights the intensification of raids and arbitrary arrests in several major cities in Algeria, collective expulsions to Niger carried out in inhumane and deadly conditions, stigmatization campaigns and racist rhetoric spread on social media, the silence and inaction of national institutions supposed to protect human rights, and initiatives taken by the COSYFOP to address the situation, including the establishment of a digital monitoring unit and international advocacy actions.
