About the Role:
EuroMed Rights is seeking a Coordinator for its Grants and PMEL Unit, which is responsible for grant management, fundraising, planning, monitoring, evaluation, and learning (PMEL). Reporting to the Unit Director, the Coordinator will work closely with another team member to support organizational sustainability, strategic planning, and donor compliance. This role emphasizes expertise in PMEL and grant management, complementing the fundraising experience of the existing team member.
Description of Tasks:
Strategic input:
- Collaborate with the Unit Director to ensure effective coordination with program teams, aligning grant management, PMEL, and fundraising processes with EuroMed Rights’ strategic goals.
- Contribute to strategic planning for the management of existing grants and implementation of fundraising initiatives to secure sustainable funding.
Donor relations
- Conduct donor mapping and identify priorities aligned with EuroMed Rights’ strategy.
- Foster and coordinate effective donor relations within EuroMed Rights.
- Ensure compliance with donor regulations, including financial and programmatic requirements.
Proposals Writing and Grant Management
- Lead fundraising processes, coordinate proposal writing and ensure timely submissions.
- Manage partnerships, develop guidelines for partner selection, and ensure compliance with deliverable standards.
- Maintain an overview of contracts and ensure timely, high-quality reporting to donors.
- Promote accountability and continuous improvement within the team.
Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning
- Lead annual planning processes, ensuring clear benchmarks and timelines, and regularly update the roadmap in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Facilitate evaluations and reporting processes, including outcome harvesting and risk management updates.
- Provide data and co-draft contributions for reports, newsletters, and other documentation.
- Oversee internal and external evaluations, sensemaking sessions, and database maintenance (e.g., Podio).
Essential Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Demonstrated experience in fundraising, grant management, and/or PMEL processes.
- Work Experience:
- Minimum 3-years of experience in NGO or similar environementFamiliarity with EU funding mechanisms and donor compliance requirements.
- Proven experience with PMLE methodologies, particularly outcome harvesting, and using tools like Podio or similar databases.
- Language proficiency: Excellent command of written and spoken English and French. Knowledge of Arabic is an asset but not mandatory
Desirable Qualifications:
- Knowledge of human rights and/or the Middle East and North Africa context.
- Experience with governmental and private fundraising in addition to EU mechanisms.
Personal Qualities and Skills:
- Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills, with a team oriented mindset. good team player.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, with an interest in digital security and IT/Communication tools.
