On January 29 2024, Albania’s Constitutional Court approved the migration agreement with Italy. With the support of the European Commission, Giorgia Meloni’s government intends to transfer 650 million euros to Albania. A portion of asylum seekers in Italy will then be obliged to carry out their legal procedure in Albania.
