Migrants and refugees in Greece

On June 23^rd^, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced that Greece was going to deploy warships near Libyan territorial waters in order to “control migratory flows”.
On June 19^th, the ECHR condemned Greece for violating the rights of unaccompanied minors, due to inhumane living conditions and illegal detentions. It ruled that the children had been exposed to wandering or inappropriate detention, without an effective remedy. The Court pointed, in particular, to the unjustified detention of a minor in a police station, in violation of Article 5 §1.
